While CA melts down, S.F. considers banning sale of pets

Never fear, SF is once again the joke of the country.

Stunned minds are laughing to keep from crying. With all the issues facing the State of California and the municipality of San Fransisco, the S.F. city council wastes time contemplating the banning of selling pets:

“People buy small animals all the time as an impulse buy, don’t know what they’re getting into, and the animals end up at the shelter and often are euthanized,” said commission Chairwoman Sally Stephens. “That’s what we’d like to stop.”

San Francisco residents who want a pet would have to go to another city, adopt one from a shelter or rescue group, or find one through the classifieds.

Notice above how the public is still able to purchase a pet. They just can’t do it at a pet store. These activists must think that the business owner is a creep just cheating people out of their money because you can still buy them off craigslist.com. It is amazing that with all the scams pulled on craigslist.com the intellectuals of SF want to empower them. Whoever said that Liberals should make consistent arguments?
